The Opportunity

As our Lead Full Stack Developer your primary focus will be to lead development of custom software solutions for multiple clients, provide direction to the team with developing new features, ensure high performance, high availability, and responsiveness of software solutions. You will also be responsible for providing direction for frontend development of software solutions. You must have a strong working knowledge of Python programming language and hands-on experience with any of the modern frontend development frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to -
  • Providing architect solutions using server side and frontend technologies, primarily Python and Angular
  • Developing backend for web & mobile applications using Python based frameworks
  • Leading and mentoring team members to elevate entire team’s skillset and mindset
  • Designing relational and NoSQL databases as per project requirements
  • Planning project milestones and organizing tasks as per Agile Scrum methodology
  • Making strategies to ensure timely delivery of projects and smooth project rollout
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Communicating with stakeholders to determine application requirements and convey progress consistently and effectively
  • Assessing and prioritizing client feature requests
  • Making automated processes for debugging, testing, and deploying frontend and backend apps
  • Providing direction for application frontend development
  • Improving existing processes to make them more efficient
  • Making key technical decisions to ensure that the solution fulfils/exceeds client requirements and providing seamless user experience on all levels.
  • Ensuring software solutions compatibility with multiple platforms and third-party services
Qualifications & Experience
  • University Degree in computer science or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years of experience with Backend Development using Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
  • 3+ years of experience deploying solutions using cloud technologies (Azure or AWS).
  • 3+ years of experience using ionic (capacitorjs / cordova).
  • 3+ years of experience using react native with (angular or react) for mobile
  • Experience with electrons for desktop
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server)
  • Ability to design database schemas to support complex business processes
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD
  • 3+ years of experience with unit testing and functional testing frameworks
  • Experience leading a team of 3 or more developers
  • Experience with architecting solutions requiring high availability and supporting high traffic
  • Experience communicating with non-technical stakeholders and being able to communicate complex ideas effectively to people with limited technological knowhow
  • Experience with web technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6 is essential
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
The Opportunity

In this client-facing role and reporting directly to the Senior Manager & BI & Category Management you will be required to have a high level of responsibility in a leadership role. Providing our clients with customer-focused insights regarding the product and category and presenting this in a professional and articulate manner. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to -
  • Provides technical and analytical expertise in working with internal and external teams designing, developing, maintaining the Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data platforms
  • Leading, coaching, developing internal and external team with Category Management and Analytics knowledge and principals
  • Liaising with senior management teams on the retail and vendor side to leverage insights and analytics to identify business trends as well as make strategic business recommendations
  • Applying critical thinking to facilitate, develop and implement comprehensive strategic business plans that will deliver results for our clients
  • Leverages data mining, market insights, by conducting proactive business analysis leveraging syndicated data (AC Nielsen, IRI, SOD etc.)
  • Determining effectiveness of customer pricing, promotional strategies and initiatives
  • Preparing analysis, customer forecasts and customer P&L
  • Reviewing the execution and measure our client’s loyalty marketing campaigns
  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested by management
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience and incredible proven impact in Consumer Package Goods Industry
  • 3+ years of category management experience
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and American Retail Channels
  • Experience presenting to Retailers and Senior Leadership teams
  • You are a builder and self-starter
  • You are extremely organized and meticulous with details
  • You have a proven track record of problem solving and taking on challenges
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence clients and internal business Partners with data-driven insights
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Need for Speed - Enjoys working with tight deadlines and successfully managed fast-paced environment with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong business/political ability to work diplomatically with clients & internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working in ambiguous and challenging situations
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent personal presentation
Preferred Qualifications, but not required -
  • Experience using Tableau
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python is an asset
  • Experience in the Alcoholic Beverage Industry
The Opportunity

We are looking for a Tableau Developer who will blend creativity, critical thinking, and strategy to help our clients visualize and understand their data. You will help our clients by analyzing data, using analytical methodologies, drafting KPIs, and building reports/dashboards to support their business requirements. The Developer will also work with analysts in optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary and establishing best practices. Because of your enthusiasm to support you will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to -

  • Researching and helping to develop and implement Tableau
  • Training internal and external team members in Tableau
  • Helping to write and optimize in-application SQL statements
  • Ensuring performance, security, and availability of databases
  • Preparing documentation and specifications
  • Handling common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Profiling server resource usage and optimizing and tweaking as necessary
  • Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders
  • 20% Tableau Server management
  • 40% Building dashboards
  • 40% Maintaining new dashboards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, and/or MCTS: SQL certification or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the Consumer Package Goods industry is essential
  • Minimum 4 years Tableau development experience
  • Very strong data visualization experience with Tableau
  • Tableau server experience
  • Experience working with Power BI & Other Data Visualization Tools
  • Experience with governance, setting up extract refreshes and data connections on the server, and troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis, including data collection
  • Experience managing user access within the Tableau server
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
  • Strong knowledge of ETL design and development using Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications
  • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
  • Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
Preferred Qualifications, but not required -
  • Tableau certification
  • Fluency in French
